2012 - Sostegno al reparto malnutriti dell'ospedale di Wolisso

Attraverso l'ONG Medici con l'Africa CUAMM di Padova, nel 2012 sosterremo il reparto malnutriti dell'Ospedale di Wolisso. Un sostegno importante per la salute dei bambini etiopi.  

Burkina Faso: 2 nuovi importanti progetti per i bambini di questo Paese

Anche nel 2012 sosterremo 2 importanti progetti a favore dei bambini del Burkina Faso. Durante quest'anno saremo infatti vicini ai bambini malnutriti di Boussè, attraverso il sostegno di un centro nutrizionale, e daremo la possibilità ai bambini di Garango di ricevere materiale scolastico, abiti e giocattoli attraverso la spedizione di un container.

Incontri nelle scuole - Anno scolastico 2010-2011

In occasione del concorso "ANCH'IO HO FAME!", la nostra Fondazione ha organizzato  incontri di sensibilizzazione sul tema della fame e della malnutrizione. Gli incontri, avvenuti in numerose scuole della provincia di Treviso, sono stati realizzati in collaborazione con due esperti sanitari che spesso si recano in Africa per aiutare la popolazione locale: il Dott. Renzo Cristofoli e la Dott.ssa Flora Teot. In questa gallery si possono vedere alcune significative immagini scattate durante gli incontri.

"Anch'io so leggere e scrivere!" - "I can read and write too!"

The specific objective of the project "Anch'io so leggere e scrivere!" ("I can read and write too!") is to reduce the phenomenon of street children in Neak Loeung, in the Province of Prey Veng.

CONCERTO DI NATALE per i bambini malnutriti di Maigaro

Il 18 dicembre 2010, presso l'Auditorium di Villa Zanetti, la Fondazione ha organizzato un concerto a favore dei bambini malnutriti di MAIGARO,  villaggio rurale della Repubblica Centrafricana. In questo villaggio, la Congregazione delle Suore Missionarie Francescane del Sacro Cuore gestisce un ospedale e un centro nutrizionale, ed è proprio a loro che sono andati i fondi raccolti durante questo emozionante evento.

TREATMENT OF ACUTE MALNUTRITION

BURKINA-FASO Burkina Faso is one of the poorest Countries in the world, occupying the second last position in the Human Development Index drawn in year 2008 by the United Nations. Life expectancy from birth is not more than 53 years.The Country is endowed with few natural resources and most of its inhabitants depend on subsistence agriculture and livestock, which are strongly conditioned by the climate: Burkina Faso is often hit by severe droughts, and by floods in the rainy season, since its territory has no sea outlet and is located in the arid Sahel region.As a result, malnutrition has become an endemic condition, especially among children under five, representing the 20% of the population. Children under 2 are the most affected by malnutrition.   PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project supported by Médecins Sans Frontières plans to improve access to healthcare and to implement screening in order to treat children affected by serious acute malnutrition in the districts of Titao and Yako, located in the Northern Province of Burkina Faso. Children will be provided with ready-to-use therapeutic food, suitable for emergency use and primary healthcare.The beneficiaries of the project are children between 6 months and 5 years, affected by serious or moderate acute malnutrition, who may also suffer from other diseases.Pop. <5 years: Titao district 28,900, Yako district 62,200.

Get Children Off the Streets

PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project promoted by the Combonian Fathers in Ecuador involves local and European professionals and aims at restructuring a shelter centre for families, in order to help children and teenagers whose lives have been deviated by drug and criminality, as they lack recreational, educational and employment opportunities.

Malawi

The most important international project in 2009 was "Malawi", in partnership with ActionAid. The operation focused on the province of Lilongwe Peri, in the South-West of the country, and led to the construction of two community care centres for young children. The project had the objectives of protecting children from sexual exploitation and child labour, and providing them with access to primary requirements such as food, healthcare and basic education.

Support for the "Regalami un Sorriso" (Give Me a Smile) project, which plans to set up a dentistry service in Sakalalina hospital (a rural village in Southern Madagascar). This service will provide prevention, care and rehabilitation in the form of dentures, as well as odontological and orthodontic training for local people.
