Burkina Faso is the poorest country in the world.
The project, Burkina 2007, whose supporters include Marcello Lippi, focuses on developing agriculture in order to combat malnutrition, which has climbed to 23%. It also plans to build a new hospital to combat childhood mortality, which currently stands at 20% within the first year of life due to meningitis, cholera and AIDS epidemics.
