SUPPORTING A CHILDHOOD SOCIAL CENTRE IN THE WEST BANK

This year the Fondazione Zanetti supports the minors living in the West Bank. Most of the children are affected by numerous problems, such as psychological disturbances, malnutrition, chronic diseases, lack of education and isolation.

Such hardships are due to the difficult socio-economic situation caused by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Our support is given through the Terre des Hommes Italia Onlus Foundation, which has operated at  “Casa del Sole” (literally House of Sun) since year 2008.

Casa del Sole is a childhood social centre in Beit Ula, a town situated North-West of Hebron counting about 10.000 citizens.

At “Casa del Sole” the children take advantage of important services which are useful to their psychological and intellective development; they are provided with school support, health education,  recreational, educational and  psycho-social activities.

We really hope that our support may offer a quiet childhood to these children who live surrounded by violence and poverty paying the consequences of an endless war.
